It was a rainy and chilly fall day. Bear was reading and Dog played with his ball as the warmth of the fire filled the room.

As Bear finished reading, he came up with an idea. "Let's paint the pumpkins!" Bear said to Dog. Dog was so excited he could hardly wait. Bear cleared off the table, got out the paint supplies and moved the pumpkins.

Bear explained "Painting can be messy, we must cover ourselves up just in case."

Dog got all covered up and was ready to start painting. Bear got the blue paint ready for Dog as it is his favorite color. Dog tried really hard to not get paint everywhere.

But no matter how hard Dog tried, he got it all over himself. It was a good thing Bear had me cover up, Dog thought to himself.

Bear put his pumpkin on the table so it would be easier for him to paint. He chose to use the red paint to try to make it look scary.

Once the paint was dry, Bear put the pumpkins back on the stands. With the paint supplies all picked up, Bear and Dog settled in and talked about how much fun it was to paint their Giant pumpkins.
