The year had gone by fast. Bear could hardly believe it was Christmas Eve already. It had been a mild winter so far but there was just enough snow from the last storm to go sledding. The sun was shining and there was no wind which made this the perfect day be outside. As Bear got the sled ready Dog was jumping with excitement as he could hardly wait.
Dog enjoyed riding on the sled as Bear pulled it along through the snow.
Once at the base of the hill, Bear told Dog he would need to climb up on his shoulders as he would need to carefully climb up to the top with the sled.
Once at the top of the hill Bear placed the sled just right and told Dog to hang on tight!
Bear pushed forward on the sled and down the hill they went. They went so fast Dog felt like they were flying.
They made several more trips up and down the hill before heading back home. On the way home Bear spotted a snowy owl perched way up in a tree watching them as they walked by. It was the first time Dog had seen a snowy owl. They watched it for a few minutes then continued on their way.
A little chilly from their great day of sledding, Bear built a fire for them to warm up. Dog was getting excited for Christmas morning as he knew there was only one more sleep before he could open his presents.
